I need help identifying the origin and maker of a set of four spoons. The upper mark below the zigzag looks to be either an N or an H. The lower left mark has crossed swords with the letter T above and what looks like a small a on the bottom. The lower right mark is a cursive CK. Any help would be appreciated. IP: Logged |

I believe that's 19th-century Leipzig, but hope that Blakstone will stop by to confirm with details. IP: Logged |

Yes, that's right, from the first quarter by the looks of it. The maker is Karl Constantin Keuhl, a prolific Leipzig maker working in the first half of the 19th century. Unfortunately, 19th century Leipzig date letters have not ( to my knowledge) been identified; the only reference for 19th century Leipzig silversmiths I know of is in an obscure 1935 German journal I've never been able to put my hands on.
