[01-1364] I would appreciate any assistance in identifying this very unusual fork. The stamp (not legible) is on the back of a tine.

Your fork is Italian and was produced probably in the middle of this century. It is typical of spoons and little serving implements one sometimes sees. Suspect they are tourist items as they were mass produced and of mediocre quality. They are cast. Sometimes they are silver (.800 grade) and sometimes they are brass or silverplated brass. The silver ones should be stamped 800, and the other ones are usually marked ITALY. The designs usually try to be Renaissance Revival. Your fork depicts St. Mark's Lion.
