[26-1439] Hello Friends, I am needing your assistance in identifying this mark please.

That would be Dutch, first standard (.934), date letter F for 1890. The assay letter (in the helmet) appears to be C, which according to Tardy, at least for the later period, dsignates s'Gravenhage. The maker's mark is the VK mark; I have no references for them, but DB and others may be able to help there. IP: Logged |

date: 1890, maker:Van Kempen. In the newest Museumtijd schrift No.22 /2007 from the Stichtig Het Nederlands Goud-, Zilver- en Klokkenmuseum,Annelies Krekel-Aalberse gives a history of this important silver firm, see also Annelies Krekel-Aalberse, Dr. Willem Voorthuysen: Zeist Zilver Werken, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds (apparently no year).
