Hello: I have a piece which has the following marks: Signed on the outside base
The number 18486 is to the left of the above information. Is this sterling or silverplate or ? It measures approximately 9 inches in height. The bottom area is 5 & 1/2 inches in diameter and the top area is 3 & 1/4 inches in diameter. Weighs approximately 13-16 ounces. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help. Sy & Wagner were a Berlin company active in the second half of the 19th century (maybe earlier and/or later). They also produced medals and decorations. 750 may refer to the silver content, in which case it is considerably lower than sterling (925 parts of silver per 1000). IP: Logged |
