I am not even sure whether this one is silver or silver plate, but it has the feel of plate. I bought it at at flea market in Amsterdam. I believe it is a berry spoons.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
TM

In case the hallmark is hard to read, it is "ALP", "A", and an eagle or other bird.

This appears to be Swedish plate.

ALP would be shorthand for Alpacca, or basically Nickel Silver. You do often see ALP on Scandianvian plate.

It looks like the bowl is pierced? If so, it may well be a large sugar sifter. They came in many different sizes.

Yes, it is a sugar sifter. I have another spoon I photographed at the same time, which I think is a berry spoon. Any idea how old this might be?

Thanks,
