Can anyone help me idendify a Mexican maker's mark from a silver platter? Inside an oval border is the mark "M.R.R." (in script). Additionally inside the oval is: Sterling, 925, Mexico D.F. indicating that it was made in Mexico City. Below the oval is a faint Eagle assayer's mark. IP: Logged |

M.R.R., as you describe it, was used on Perlita silver. Perlita is a retail shop located in Mexico City. The eagle mark should be either #1 or #95. Unfortunately, there is not much known about who this silversmith actually is. Your piece dates from between 1949-1979. Perhaps Perlita can help?
