I was told when buying this egg, that it is mid 20th century but the books I have don't show any makers from the mid 20th. I have seen a few on an auction site (not sure if allowed to name) and one person is claiming is from the 19th century with exact same marks as mine. There is also another exact same egg but the marks on that egg is for Yuka Lozinsky, so is confusing to me if my egg is even real or a copy? Here are some pictures... I know I have bought lots of stuff without checking first if was real or not but as soon as I fell in love with this Russian silver enamel, I just got everything I thought looked good (haha). I am slowly learning now so am happy with what I purchased (mostly). IP: Logged |

I have no idea of Russian silver. I have read your posts and I love your items. However Russian silver - so much fake, so I have have descided not to go into that. At the same time we miss some of the very skilled "russian experts". So dont feel that noone responds. Waith and I am sure that someone will reply. However the mark I know. Profile facing that way is after 1908. The greek letter at left is assey office. [This message has been edited by Hose_dk (edited 06-25-2013).] IP: Logged |

Thank you for reply. Even though I know I have probably got lots of fake items, I still love looking at them anyway. It's the first thing I ever started collecting and i'm now 38 years old. Better late than never! IP: Logged |
