Just home from visiting cousins in Sweden, where the favorable exchange rate encouraged me to bring back a silver souvenir: a sauceboat. The nice young man in the antique shop told me it was designed in the 1920s-30s and made in the mid-20th c (hallmarks confirm a date of 1952), by "one of the three top silver manufacturers in Gothenburg." Does anyone know more about the manufacturer, GEBOS? Or have thoughts about what the engraved "SIG: GB" (? maybe GD?) might mean? IP: Logged |

B9 is 1952 and the G is for Gothenburg. The S + kattfot is for Swedish silbver after 1912. Silver manufactured in sweden has the katfott i 3-pass mark import silver has the 3 crowns in an oval.
