I have a few spoons that have the hall mark RV and then a picture of crown then lion P I just needed to find out some info on them, can any one help me. IP: Logged |

From your description, your spoons were probably made in Sheffield. The lion mark signifies sterling silver, the crown was used to indicate Sheffield from 1773 to 1975. The letter "P" will indicate the date. This depends on the exact style of the letter, upper-case or lower case, Old English or Roman etc., as well as the shape of the mark (squarish or shield shaped).
