Please can any one identify the mark which is a hand holding a fleur de lys and underneath has the letters A and B plus two other marks? The "fleur de lys" mark is actually made of curled feather plumes, with the hand grasping from the back, and is stamped on a type of coffee pot or ? tea pot, which is about 8" high, and has ahinged lid. I dont know anything about silver so perhaps it is a pewter object. Thanks IP: Logged |

It is almost never easy to identify a mark specifically based on just as description. It is preferred that you post a picture of the mark and of the object, if at all possible. Even if it is possible to identify, people who are unfamiliar with the mark will not learn as much from the description and identification and they would from a picture and an identification. A forum of this type is not only to obtain information but to help others learn as well. ;-D ------------------ IP: Logged |
