There is a great new website for those interested to learn about or share their knowledge on these items, which were made in USA as well as Britain: Well worth a visit - an academic and positive approach to expanding knowledge! Many thanks for this posting. This is the sort of input I, and I suspect others , really appreciate. Perhaps the moderaters might consider a separate section for people to post usefull websites they have found. My favourites are Oldbaileyonline.org which gives a wealth of information on the silver trade and silversmiths 1764 - 1800 and motco.com, which has both Horwoods and Roques maps of London and indices to the street names Thanks Clive IP: Logged |

As a new member I was delighted to see mention of my website and book. Clearly there must be members out there who share my keen interest in early tea tongs (sugar nips)and I would be pleased to answer any queries they might have, in the future. IP: Logged |
