Hello; I am a new member and would appreciate some help in ID'ing an old piece that I just obtained. This is a tiny sterling pitcher with British hallmarks
If I am interpreting this correctly it is .925 sterling made in London during the 1700's, but I would appreciate a confirmation if possible. Also - on the bottom is the letter A and then underneath it are the letters W and I. I can't seem to find a Maker Mark to match this and would certainly appreciate some help from some more experienced collectors. Thanks in advance!

Assuming the incomplete mark on the left is the hind end of a lion passant, then the set of marks is complete, and the London date letter is that for 1774. The maker's mark appears to have been obliterated by wear. IP: Logged |
