Hi, I have emailed Richard Turner who wrote the Directory on Scottish Provincial Marks, but he isn't certain of its origin. He came across a set of spoons with the same marks. I don't think you get Welsh Silver? I think it is likely to be Scottish or Brit Colonial due to the pattern and shape. IP: Logged |

Hi Scotia, sorry my posting abilities are pretty lame and my mark id's are for the most part guesses... I was joking ( thought the happy face w/ a wink showed that?) because of the Prince of Wales feathers, if that is what they are? My real guess is Anglo-Indian! Hi, It's sort of a cross between a fleur-de-lis and the Prince of Wales Feathers. Sorry, never noticed the smilie! This piece is definitely Sterling and not plate. IP: Logged |
