Hi, Another piece from last night, hallmarked for London, 1937. The makers mark is "HL" I was wondering if anyone knew who the maker is? It is a very high quality, heavy dish and even the nut and washer are hallmarked. A beautiful piece.

I do not know the maker of your handsome dish but if he/she who identifies it has a way of finding recent English makers it would be great to know the trick! fyi: all seperate smaller parts are marked with 2 marks to show they go with a larger work. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info, I didn't realise that. When I first saw the piece I thought it may have been by Omar Ramsden but alas it was not his mark on the base, although the quality is superb. IP: Logged |
