I don't know if anybody can help. I have an enamled silver brooch which is stamped for Birmingham (UK) and for 1946. I wonder if anybody can help with the makers stamp which is AHD & S? Any ideas greatly appreciated. Many thanks IP: Logged |

It's usually better to post a picture, but since I don't have Jackson's at the precise moment, an image would have done little good anyway... However, a brief online search turned up a website which lists AHD&S as a mark for the Birmingham maker Derby & Son during the first half of the 20th century. They purportedly made many Celtic brooches. As I only had one search engine hit, I wouldn't take this information for gospel, but perhaps someone out there can verify. IP: Logged |
