I received a beautiful peice of ornate silver from an aunt recently; English made, it has the lion, the leopard without a crown, and the small letter h. I am just wondering if anyone would recognize this mark....SJ Thank you in advance for any replies. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi Liv, made in London ( leopardshead ) and possible made in 1903,1923 or 1963.The cartouche around the hallmarks is important. If it is clear squared than it is 1963.If you have a wave at the top and the bottom of the cartouche it is made in 1903.Only a wave at the bottom it was made in 1923. Best wishes Marion IP: Logged |
