[26-0308] I have the following piece which I received from my grandparents estate several years ago, it's been packed away for awhile, but now I'd like to learn a bit about it. It's some kind of art nouveau box. Photo of box and makers mark included. The box... Thanks very much in advance for any help. Michael IP: Logged |

My sources also indicate Birmingham, 1901. I am sure some one with a copy of Jackson's hallmarks will tell you the maker. Otherwise, your local library may have a copy. Nice box! IP: Logged |

Thanks very much for all your help. I got quite an education in silver makers marks in two days of research on the internet. IP: Logged |

Your box is a nice example of nouveau style and since all of us on this forum are silver afficionados I am sure we would all like to see it from other angles to appreciate the design. Could you share some more photos of it with us - the top, the inside, the back? IP: Logged |

Please pardon the incorrect post I made earlier (hopefully the mods deleted it. I tried to, but could not). Here are some more photos of the box which PhilO helped me identify on the 31st of March.
