[26-0588] I have for a year a George III silver coffee pot in my collection, dated London 1766 and with the makers initials " I.W ". Who can help me with identifying this maker. Patrick IP: Logged |

This may be the mark illustrated by Grimwade (#3696) as an unregistered mark attributable either to "?John Weldring or James Wiburd." The mark appears on sugar vases, candlesticks and teacaddy-casket mounts made between 1763 and 1765, so the time frame is right. IP: Logged |
