Hello all, Here is a sturdy little fiddle pattern teaspoon with an unusual set of marks (to me at least). It does not seem to fit with any English provincial marking system, thought he form reminds me of some Scottish pieces I have handled. It might be Canadian, but I do not have a good reference book. It might also be from another British colony, or perhaps be a Chinese export; the odd lion looks rather oriental. Does anyone know this one? I'm pretty sure it is not American. Brent IP: Logged |

Well, the bust looks a lot like McGrew's "Hartford Bust," but none of the other marks are shown with it. Still, it could be of Connecticut manufacture. IP: Logged |
