My wife loves silver, particularly if she can use it in some decoration with her ceramic collections. This time of year the Old Sheffield Plate epergne is just right as the foundation for a spring time centerpiece decoration. Can spring be far away when the rabbits and primrose flowers arrive? The epergne is an unmarked Old Sheffield Plate epergne that we found some time ago having only the center glass bowl. Luckily somewhere in England they still make the new smaller bowls that match the pattern of the center bowl. A silversmith made the silver holders for the small bowls (we already had the original arms). Each one had to be made to fit the reproduction bowls as each of these was different in diameter by a small amount. IP: Logged |
