Talloncrest's (Old cast sugar tongs?)

An attractive pair, London circa 1760 I think. There are several makers with WC marks. I think this one may be William Cripps (d. 1766), a leading exponent of the rococo.(But I defer to Clive Taylor's later and more informed comment on the original post. Getting marks right is not my strong point!)

Note that the marks are struck where the cast arms join the bow, thus validating all three parts of the tongs.
