[26-1257] I'm a casual collector that has a few pieces (nothing like some of you out there). I came across a 13 1/2" pound Sterling Centerpiece with an Asprey mark that I believe was imported from France and made around 1933. I would like some more information on the marks. I haven't been able to find much on them.

Hi, scooty and welcome. There is information posted here to tell you how to post pictures. I upload mine to photobucket, then cut the bottom line (the imp one) and paste it in my post. Just open a second window browser for ease of the cut and paste. Be sure and follow the guidelines for picture size etc. Looking forward to the pictures and learning some more about yourself and your silver interest. IP: Logged |

Your fabulous rococo revival jardiniere was made in France by A. Debain and imported to England 1907 by Asprey. Both companies are highly esteemed. ------------------ IP: Logged |

The sponsor's mark is certainly Asprey but the date letter is actually 1967. Phil IP: Logged |

Alphonse Debain's active dates are 1883-1911. Does Asprey sell estate items? Are the engraved armorials familiar to anyone? IP: Logged |
