[01-1515] I have a large silver basket marked E.J. Fairbairns, wormwood s.i.e.g. or wormwood sieg, Rd 670830. I have looked all over the internet for weeks and can't find a thing on Fairbairns at all. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you IP: Logged |

Nothing on the Fairbairns, I'm afraid. However, Rd 670830 looks like a British registered design number, and if so means that the design was registered in 1919, although of course the piece may have been made later. If it is British, your basket is almost 100% certain silverplate, otherwise it would have the official sterling hallmarks. IP: Logged |
