[01-1894] Hello, 'm a bit puzzled by some of these hallmarks and symbols on the back of my spoons, I have looked about on the internet but found nothing Here are the photos if you have any information on them I would be very happy if you could tell me.

The top spoon is by Daniel and Arter of Birmingham. The company made a variety of nickel alloy flatware, so the piece may be silverplated or just a white metal designed to resemble silver. The second is probably something similar. The eleaborate marks are probably meaningless, intended to give respectability and, perhaps, to mislead the unwary! IP: Logged |
