A butt marker box (butt markers being numbered tags designating gun positions in a game shoot). I thought I'd add the definition in order to avoid offending folks in America. IP: Logged |

I've just stumbled across this and am intrigued. Would these markers be like drawing straws? Everyone draws a number and then puts the markers back in the box? And then what are the hoops for in the photo of the butts? (Have never seen such things.....very neat.) IP: Logged |

Yes like "drawing straws". Everyone has a equal chance to get the best location. The "hoops" are there to make sure the gun doesn't point/shoot anyone in the other Butts/blinds. IP: Logged |
