Does Jackson, Grimwade or any other show a maker for these initials? Wyler lists it, but as Unknown.

Grimwades lists a mark for Joseph Dodds entered in 1789, which has a pellet between the letters, bust also states that there were two similar marks entered in 1790, so perhaps one did not have a pellet. The only other potential option for the timeline is James Darquis, Jr., who entered a mark with a pellet between in 1787; no mention of other marks registered. IP: Logged |

Here's an ID I'm trying to ID. Single mark near the base of the stem of table/serving spoon that I think dates to around 1780. I see a few that look similar in the English directories, but those all are accompanied by other marks - this is a stand alone mark. Is this provincial Irish/Scottish ?
