The next two pins were the work of a company named Hess-Appel. Like virtually all the output of this small company, they are marked Jolle, a trademark they already owned when the company was founded in 1943. Production by this company is quite small and hard to find. It seems that they obtained patents for only a handful of their designs.
First, a windmill pin with 4 huge purple open-backed stones for the blades of the windmill. These are not only unusual because of the size, but also their shape. Second, is an owl pin, finished in rose gold. Its eyes are very large open-backed citrine colored marquise stones.
